7.0.5 Rear wheel wells

After Mid 1942 tops of wheel wells included a rib to the rear of the tool box cover*.

GPW tool box covers have an easily recognizable pattern of stiffening ribs in the sheetmetal. They include an hourglass-shaped rib around the lid edge and a circular rib in the lid center.

Tool box locks are made of stamped steel with a die-cast push button. The steel parts are cadmium plated (not bright zinc) and the push button is painted O.D.
